Who is the Perfect Love Match and Why do We Fall in Love?
Big questions. Follow these dating tips and you’ll know more about what to look for in a partner.
Dr Helen Fisher has analyzed love for 30 years.
Through her work and in the work she has done with the dating site Chemistry.com she has come to understand why some people gravitate towards certain people and not others.
Dr Fisher has discovered that there are four broad biological categories of people or temperament styles, namely:
- Explorer: risk taking, novelty seeking, adventurous types: e.g. John F Kennedy
- Director: analytical, logical, decisive, tough minded types: e.g. Bill Gates
- Builder: traditional, loyal
- Negotiator: romantic, emotionally expressive, verbal: e.g. Bill Clinton
Check out the video to see the results of the specially convened dating party in New York. The participants are wearing color coded bracelets and Dr Fisher gives us insights into the poses we strike.
The explorer is attracted to the explorer; the builder wants the builder; the director is attracted to the negotiator etc.
These insights on why we fall in love are fascinating. Well they are to me. Hope you like them too.
