Crying – Love by Orbison and kd Lang

Crying Love

Have you been caught out crying? If I want a good cry – and let’s face it – who doen’t need a good cry from time to time then I put on music like this and the tears flow.

Some voices come straight from heaven and this is a beautiful combination, in my opinion. I’ve got it playing as I type.

I read somewhere on a poster something that went like: without music life would be a mistake. Oh so true.!

So, what did you cry about last? Was it because you lost a loved one? A broken relationship perhaps? Or were betrayed by a friend?

We have so many reasons to cry very day and while most of them are to do with sorrow and heartache there are the occasions when the tears flow from joy.

When did you last cry for joy? The birth of your child? Good news from a friend? A proposal of marriage or the relief at getting that job you’ve always wanted.

I’m all for crying. Im not one to tell someone to be quiet or to hush their tears because they may be seen or because they are embarrassing me. Tears are as natural as smiles and while they don’t usually happen as often they are a welcome weapon in my armoury for getting through life. I wouldn’t say I love crying or that I take any joy in seeing someone else cry but I do respect tears and know the invaluable place they hold in our hearts, when things go right and when our heart breaks.

Crying Love

Roy Orbison Crying with kd Lang

I was all right for a while, I could smile for a while

But I saw you last night, you held my hand so tight

As you stopped to say “Hello”

Aw you wished me well, you couldn’t tell

That I’d been crying over you, crying over you

Then you said “so long”. left me standing all alone

Alone and crying, crying, crying crying

It’s hard to understand but the touch of your hand

Can start me crying

I thought that I was over you but it’s true, so true

I love you even more than I did before but darling what can I do

For you don’t love me and I’ll always be

Crying over you, crying over you

Yes, now you’re gone and from this moment on

I’ll be crying, crying, crying, crying

Yeah crying, crying, over you
